On Friday morning a group of Israeli settlers from the illegal settlement of Havet Ma'un, built on privately-owned Palestinian lands near the southern West Bank city of Hebron, attacked a group of Palestinian farmers who were working in their lands near the settlement.

A group of eight settlers attacked two farmers. One of the farmers, identified as Salem Adra', 60 along with his son Nasser, 40, was attacked with pepper spray in the face.  Adra' was critically injured in the eye.

The Israeli police arrived at the scene and accused the Palestinian farmers of provoking the Israeli settlers.  They then kidnapped Nasser Adra'.

The settlers of the area are known for repeated attacks against the Palestinian families in the area, especially school children, who have to be escorted by members of the Christian Peacemaker Team both to and from school.
