The Israeli military reported killing one Palestinian with a tank-fired missile, and two Palestinians in an invasion of northern Gaza by the Gavati unit of the Israeli military.
According to Israeli sources, the three who were killed were near the border fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel. The Israeli military reported that it targeted a group of men who were "too close" to the border fence.
The Islamic Jihad reported that it had sent several fighters to engage the Israeli army at the Erez crossing, but did not identify if those killed were the fighters or not.
