In a press release, Abu Zuhri stated that this agreement is a recognition of the legitimacy of the movement which was elected by the majority of the people. Abu Zuhri also added that the truce started on Thursday at 6 A.M and that his movement is committed to the truce and is determined to make it a success. He stated that now Israel has to prove its seriousness, and said that just shortly before the truce started, the army killed one Palestinian and wounded several others in the Gaza Strip.
