The scheduled arrival of Fatah officials in Gaza has been delayed due to difficulties with the Hamas political party and Israeli authorities.
Amin Maqboul, of the Fatah movement, reported surprise upon learning Hamas would not allow seven Fatah officials to enter Gaza.

He explains, “We heard a lot of positive statements made by Hamas leaders, they welcomed our planned visit.”

Maqboul also stated the Fatah agenda of the visit covered nothing that would upset Hamas.

The difficulty of entering gaza was also attributed to Israeli Authorities who have yet to grant Fatah delegates permission.
