Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, reported Tuesday, that the Palestinian Security Forces of President Mahmoud Abbas of the rival Fateh movement, arrested eight members and supporters of Hamas in Nablus, in the northern part of the West Bank. A Hamas spokesperson said that residents Suleiman Aref Nasasra, Suleiman Hanani, former detainee Suheib Abu Heit and Johar Salah Hanani were arrested in Beit Forik village, near Nablus. Abu Heit and Nasasra are students of the al-Najah University in Nablus.

Hamas said that other students of the al-Najah University were also arrested an Aseera el-Shimaliyya village. They were identified as Asem al-Tanbour, Moath Ghassan Nofal, and Ahmad Taher.

Furthermore, al-Najah student Asem Sanbour, was arrested in Yitma village, near the city.

The security forces broke into the arrestees’ homes, searched them and took the students to detention centers in Nablus, Hamas said.
