A 15-year-old Palestinian child was killed on Friday evening after the Israeli Navy chased a fishing boat close to the Rafah shore, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip; the boat flipped over after the army opened fire at it.Medical sources in Rafah reported that the slain child was identified as Ziad Samir Al Bardaweel. His body was moved to Abu Yousef Al Najjar Hospital in Rafah.

Dozens of casualties were reported among fishermen in the Gaza Strip in recent years due to the fact that the Israeli Navy repeatedly attacks Palestinian fishermen, and prevents them from fishing in Palestinian territorial waters.
