The Israeli army invaded Beit Ummar and kidnapped four individuals Saturday night, according to Maan News Agency. Also, the soldiers fired live ammunition and gas bombs during the invasion.The Israeli invasion occurred on Saturday evening during a ceremony honoring Palestinian prisoners.

The Israeli army claims that four residents were arrested in response to violent riots.

Also, an army spokeswoman claimed she was unaware that live ammunition had been used in addition to gas bombs. Eye witnesses, however, claim both were used. No injuries were reported.

Several ministers from the Palestinian Authority attended the ceremony, but left before the invasion took place.
