Local sources said that the Israeli military invasion came after a group of extremist Israeli settlers invaded Burin and Einabous villages, and clashed with local residents.

The soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades in addition to rounds of live ammunition.

Several residents, including a journalist, were injured, while a number of homes caught fire.

One of the wounded residents was shot by in the head by a gas bomb fired by one of the invading soldiers.

In related news, Israeli sources said that a settler child, 9 years of age, was shot in Psagot Israeli settlement, north of occupied Jerusalem.

The incident took place around 9 P.M. on Saturday at night; the child was standing on the balcony of her family’s home when she was shot in the chest.

Israeli daily, Haaretz, said that the child’s condition is stable, and that although her injury was initially described as serious, it was later assessed as mild.

The army said it searched the settlement but could not find the shooter, and that the shooter is “said to be a Palestinian”.
