Palestinian security sources have reported on Thursday [December 5, 2013] that several Israeli military jeeps invaded the Qabatia town, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and kidnapped a Palestinian security officer.The sources said that the officer is a member of the Seventh Brigade of the Palestinian National Security Forces, operating on the Nablus district, in an attempt to “arrest gunmen and confiscate weapons”, the Maan News Agency has reported.

Earlier on Thursday, at dawn, soldiers invaded various Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank, kidnapping several Palestinians.

At least two Palestinians were kidnapped in Jenin, while eight were kidnapped in Bethlehem.

Furthermore, a young Palestinian man was shot and severely wounded by Israeli army fire as the army invaded Bethlehem, kidnapping eight Palestinians.

The invasions are part of escalating Israeli military assaults against the Palestinians and their property in different parts of the occupied West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem.
