[Friday, December 6, 2013] Palestinian medical sources have reported that dozens of Palestinian worshipers from the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in occupied Jerusalem, have been treated for the effects of teargas inhalation after being attacked by Israeli soldiers.Eyewitnesses said that a number of soldiers stormed the yards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, following Friday noon prayers, leading to clashes with dozens of young men.

The soldiers fired several gas bombs and dozens of rubber-coated metal bullets, causing further tension and clashes.

Furthermore, the soldiers used pepper spray against several protesters, and violently beat them.

Media sources said that the soldiers assaulted a reporter, identified as Ata Oweisat, inflicting various cuts and bruises.

The soldiers later withdrew from the area through the Magharba and Silsila (Chain) gates, in the occupied Old City.
