[Monday at dawn, December 16, 2013] Israeli soldiers have invaded various Palestinian communities in different parts of the occupied West Bank, kidnapping five Palestinians.Local sources have reported that one invasion took place in the Qalqilia district, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, and that three Palestinians were kidnapped.

One of the kidnapped was taken from his home in Hijja village, and the second was kidnapped from his home in Jayyous village.

The Israeli army said that a third Palestinian was also taken prisoner in the Qalqilia district, but did not reveal any further information, and only claimed the kidnapped are wanted for “security violations”.

Furthermore, dozens of soldiers invaded Jaba’ village, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, while several military jeeps also invaded Zabbouba and Rommana, nearby.

Local sources in Jaba’ village said that the soldiers kidnapped Ibrahim As’ad Baddad, 38, and Morad Waleed Malaysha, 23.

Eyewitnesses said that the army forced the families out into the cold, amidst the snowstorm, and searched their homes.

In Zabbouba village, the soldiers broke into two houses and served the parents of Hasan Thiab Yatouna and As’ad Mohammad Jaradat with military warrants ordering them to head to a nearby military base for interrogation.

Furthermore, several Israeli military jeeps invaded the Rommana village, and were deployed around the village’s mosque while the residents headed there for dawn prayers.
