[Wednesday, January 15, 2014] Palestinian medical sources have reported that a young Palestinian man was shot by a live round fired by Israeli soldiers in the Aida refugee camp, north of the West Bank city of Bethlehem.Head of the Emergency Department in Bethlehem, Mohammad Awad, said that Jamal Marzouq, 19, suffered moderate injuries and was moved to a local hospital, Radio Bethlehem 2000 has reported.
Awad added that several Palestinians suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation at the eastern entrance of the refugee camp.
On Saturday evening, January 11, several Palestinians were injured during clashes between local residents and Israeli soldiers, near the main entrance of the camp.
Several soldiers also broke into the Lajee â€śRefugee Centerâ€ť in the camp, causing panic among the children who were playing there, and kidnapping two Palestinians identified as Ahmad Al-Aâ€™raj, 20, and Samer Oweis, 32.
Aida refugee camp is subject to continuous Israeli military violations and aggressions.
