Israeli occupation authorities forced the al-Sha’er family, on Wednesday, to demolish a garage in their house.
The house’s owner, Lu’ai al-Sha’er, said that occupation authorities forced him to demolish the garage, built as a commendation to his brother and his bride, according to Al Ray Palestinian Media Agency.

The occupation notified the family of the demolition order, threatening them (in the case they do not demolish the garage themselves) that Israeli bulldozers will do the job and the family will pay the cost.

The threat forced the family to demolish the house themselves.

According to United Nations humanitarian affairs agency, OCHA, in 2013, Israel destroyed 99 buildings in east Jerusalem, leaving 298 people homeless.

Palestinian residents and human rights groups within the city say that Israel rarely grants building permits, forcing residents to build homes without them.
