Three killed in Gaza by an unknown explosion, while Israeli troops leave scores of Palestinian worshipers injured in Jerusalem. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.

Three people killed and five injured in a blast which hit the city of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, on Wednesday. The source of the blast is so far unidentified.

According local news sources the injured and killed were transferred to the European Hospital in Kahn Younis. The bodies of two of the killed Palestinians were badly charred and torn from the blast.

The Ministry of the Interior of Gaza’s deposed government said that ‘the blast was caused by a fire that broke out in a house. However, according to Palestinian security sources, the circumstances behind the explosion were not clear.’

The ministry added that four firemen were injured in another explosion while they were rescuing the victims of the first explosion caused by the fire. A number of Palestinian media sources reported that the victims were injured while preparing explosives.

Elsewhere in Jerusalem, at least 40 Palestinians were injured, another six kidnapped by Israeli troops who stormed the Al Aqsa mosque.

Clashes erupted inside the holy site after troops attacked Palestinian worshipers with live gunfire and tear gas, local sources reported.

The Israeli troops were protecting Israeli right wing radicals who entered the Muslim holy site to conduct prayers there.

Earlier on Wednesday, Soldiers in several armored Israeli military jeeps invaded the town of Beit Ummar, near the southern West Bank city of Hebron,

kidnapping four Palestinians, including the secretary of the Popular Committee Against the Wall and Settlements and his son.

The army violently broke into and searched the homes of the kidnapped Palestinians, and several other homes in the town, causing excessive property damage.
