In the course of the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip that has been ongoing for the third consecutive day, Israeli warplanes and gunboats launched intensive attacks throughout the Gaza Strip, targeting houses, civilian facilities, as well as training sites of armed groups and its members.

On the morning of Thursday, Israeli warplanes targeted a building in Khan Younis, killing eight members of the al-Hajj family. Over 30 people were injured in the strike.

Six of the victims were children, said Ashraf al-Qidra, a spkesman for ministry of health in Gaza.

Earlier, nine Palestinians were killed and at least 10 were injured when the Israeli army targeted a coffee shop on a Khan Younis beach. People were watching the World Cup semi-final game when Israel fired a missile at the crowd.

Another strike in the al-Zawayda village in central Gaza killed four members of the Shalat family, a couple and two children.

A spokesperson for the Israeli military said Thursday morning that during the course of the preceding day, at least 82 shells hit Israel and 21 were intercepted. The shells caused no injuries.

The spokesman added that the army launched raids on 322 targets overnight, taking the total number of Hamas targets hit to 750.
