On Wednesday the young Palestinian girl, Samah Abd al-Mumen, died after succumbing to wounds sustained from Israeli occupation fire. She was shot at a military checkpoint in Nablus in October.Samah was shot at the Huwwara military checkpoint on Oct. 23 when the IOF opened fire in all directions fatally hitting the teenager and killing Alaa Khalil Sabah Hashah, 16, after he allegedly attempted to stab an Israeli soldier.

Her father said, according to the PNN, that she died in the Israeli Benlson Medical Center after being transferred from Rafidiya hospital in Nablus due to her critical injuries.

Palestinian security sources told Ma’an at the time of her injury that Samah was shot in the head while sitting inside her car near where the incident occurred at Huwwara.

The teen was apparently hit in the crossfire after the Israeli army said that 16-year-old Hashah “drew a knife and attempted to attack a soldier.”

Hashah was shot over ten times after the allegedly attempted stabbing, according to eyewitnesses. She was from Amoriya town, south of Nablus.

According to the Palestinian Information Center, a relative of Samah said that her family was expecting her death at any moment after doctors told them that she was a “hopeless case” after a CT scan showed she was suffering from brain hemorrhage.
