A Palestinian child was injured on Wednesday midday after being hit by an Israeli army jeep in Khliat Al Mayah community near the southern West Bank city of Hebron.

14-year old Nu’man Bassal sustained moderate wounds and was moved to a nearby hospital for treatment in Hebron city. Witnesses said that the boy was going back home riding his bicycle when a military jeep hit him.

Elsewhere, Israeli troops used tear gas, rubber-coated steel bullets against Palestinian unarmed protesters marking land day all over the West Bank. the Palestinian ministry of health reported that dozens of protesters were treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The first land day protest was organized on March 30 1976 when Palestinian residents marched against Israel’s decision to confiscate hundreds of acres Palestinian lands in the Galilee.

Back in 202 the Israeli authorities responded to protests organized in the Galilee marking land day, killing six young demonstrators.

In other news, Israeli soldiers invaded, on Wednesday at dawn, several Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank, searched many homes and kidnapped, at least, sixteen Palestinians.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported that the soldiers invaded Huwwara town, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and kidnapped five teenagers. Moreover The soldiers also invaded areas in Bethlehem, stormed and searched homes, and kidnapped two civilians. Two more civilians were taken from Jerusalem.

Seven civilians were kidnaped by Israeli troops during homes searches in the city of Hebron and nearby villages and town.

In Gaza, Israeli navy ships opened fire on many Palestinian fishing boats, in Gaza territorial waters, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. damage was reported but no injuries.
