The City Council in occupied Jersusalem informed, Thursday, a Palestinian family of a demolition order targeting their home in the Sawahra town, southeast of the occupied Palestinian capital.

The home is owned by Yassin Taha Zaatra, and was built 10 years ago, sheltering him and his family. The property is slated to be demolished in five days.

Younis Jafar, a member of the Sawahra Land Defense Committee, told WAFA Palestinian Agency that members of the municipality handed Zaatra the demolition order under the pretext the house was built without a permit.

He added that the Israeli authorities are targeting the area in order to expand their illegal colonies, built on occupied Palestinians in direct violation of International Law.

It is worth mentioning that many structures have been demolished in nearby Abu Dus town, on Thursday morning, all under the pretext of construction without a permit.
