Israeli forces, on Friday, fired rubber-coated steel rounds and tear-gas at the participants of the weekly peaceful procession in Kufur Qaddoum village, injuring two, and causing many others to choke on tear-gas.

In the northern occupied West Bank east of Qalqilia city, the locals of Kufur Qaddoum and the surrounding areas have organized weekly protests on Friday and Saturday to oppose Israeli settlements.

According to the the occupation army opened fire with rubber-coated steel rounds and tear-gas canisters, striking a child in the hand, and a teen in the abdomen, both with tear-gas canisters.

The coordinator of the Popular Resistance, Morad Eshteiwi, announced that occupation forces, from a short distance, fired at the crowd, striking a Palestinian child in the hand, and a teen in the abdomen with steel rounds.

Eshteiwi added that scores of demonstrators suffered the toxic effects of tear-gas inhalation. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) provided medical care to the injured, on site.

He stated that the occupation soldiers invaded the town, stormed private citizens’ homes in order to overtake their rooftops, and taking position on a nearby mountain.

The weekly peaceful march was attended by hundreds of locals, calling for national resistance against the Israeli occupation, and for the occupation to reopen the main road leading east towards Nablus.
