Four Palestinians inured in Gaza by Israeli bombardment, meanwhile three more were injured by soldiers in the West Bank. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.
Medical sources in the Gaza Strip have reported that four Palestinians have been injured, earlier on Monday, in a series of Israeli air strikes targeting several areas, in different parts of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army and air force have attacked at least fifteen targets, in different parts of the coastal region, on Monday, local sources reported.
The sources added that most of the strikes targeted areas east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, while other missiles struck Palestinian agricultural farmlands, north of the city. All wounded were moved to Abu Yousef Najjar Hospital, in Rafah, suffering moderate wounds, while others were treated for minor injuries.
On its part, the Israeli army said its air force attacked five targets, run by the al-Qassam, Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, allegedly after a shell ‚Äúwas fired from Gaza, and exploded in an open area in Sha‚Äôar HaNegev Regional Council.‚ÄĚ
Elsewhere, Israeli soldiers shot and injured, on Monday afternoon, two Palestinian women, one of them in her sixties, at the Qalandia terminal north of occupied East Jerusalem, and abducted the younger woman.
The army closed the roadblock from both directions, while Israeli police issued a statement alleging that the young woman was shot after failing to heed to the soldiers‚Äô demands, who ‚Äúordered her to stop.‚ÄĚ
Following the shooting, dozens of soldiers were deployed in the area, amidst tension, and prevented the Palestinians from crossing.
This shooting comes few hours after Israeli soldiers shot and injured 72 year old elderly Palestinian man at the Huwwara military roadblock, south of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank. He suffered moderate wounds after the soldiers shot him with two live rounds in the pelvis and one of his legs.
It remains unclear why the soldiers opened fire on the elderly Palestinian man, and there have been no reports of any attacks against the soldiers.
