Israeli soldiers shot and killed, on Thursday at noon, Mohmmad Tannouh, 26, after he reportedly attempted to stab them, in Teqouaâ€™ town, east of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank. Tannouh was shot with four live rounds, before an army jeep ran over him, near al-Khansaâ€™ school, in Teqouaâ€™.
After shooting the Palestinian, the soldiers closed the area, prevented bystanders, and even medics, from approaching him, and later covered his body with a black sheet, before taking it away.
The Red Crescent said the soldiers refused to allow its medics to approach the Palestinian to assess his condition, and the extent of his injuries, before he was declared dead.
clashes took place after Tannouh was shot dead, and the soldiers fired dozens of live rounds and rubber-coated steel bullets. Â Furthermore, the Palestinian Police said the soldiers shot one of its officers with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the head.
The death of Tannouh brings the number of Palestinians, killed by Israeli soldiers in occupied Palestine this year alone, to fifty Palestinians, including fifteen children, including Â toddler. Ten Israelis, including six soldiers and officers, were killed since the beginning of this year; two of them were Arab citizens of Israel.
Elsewhere, Israeli soldiers invaded, on Thursday at dawn, several areas in the southern West Bank governorate of Hebron, and Jenin governorate, in northern West Bank, searched many homes and workshops, and abducted six Palestinians.
The Israeli army said its soldiers managed to locate weapons and combat materials, during searches in Yatta and Bani Neim towns, and in Hebron city.
The army claimed locating a lathe machine, used for manufacturing homemade weapons, and ammunition, in Doura town, north of Hebron, in addition to locating M1 rifle, in Bani Neim town east of Hebron. The soldiers also said they located two instruction manuals, used to manufacture M16 rifles.
In related news, the soldiers invaded Qabatia town, south of Jenin, searched homes, and a blacksmithâ€™s workshop, and abducted a young man.
