Palestinian man is killed by Israeli troops in the West Bank, meanwhile in Gaza Israeli gunfire leave one man injured. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.
A Palestinian man was shot and killed on Wednesday by Israeli troops near the northern West Bank city of Nablus. Palestinian sources said that the slain Palestinian is 24 year old Sari Abu Ghurab from the town of Qabatiya near Nablus.
The Israeli army claimed that a Palestinians were hurling stones from their car at troops driving at settlers’ road 60 near the illegal settlement of Ariel and that during the high-speed chase of the car one Palestinian exited the car and tried to stab soldiers before troops shot him. According to the army claims one soldier was lightly wounded.
219 Palestinian have been killed by Israeli gunfire since October of last year while allegedly carrying out stabbing attacks or during clashes in the West Bank between Palestinian protesters and invading Israeli troops. Meanwhile 32 Israelis were killed by Palestinians since October 2015.
Also on Wednesday, 14 Palestinian civilians were kidnapped by Israeli troops during dawn invasions and home searches targeting West Bank communities.
Palestinian sources reported invasions in the southern West Bank cities of Hebron and Bethlehem, in addition to the northern Tulkarem district and Ramallah in central west Bank.
Later on Wednesday morning, Israeli army bulldozers demolished three Palestinian homes at the village of Umm al Khier near the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
The Israeli army claimed that the homes are built without the army needed permission. The village is located in area c of the West Bank, which is under total Israeli military control. The army rarely give building permits to Palestinian residents meanwhile keep expanding illegal Israeli settlements built on Palestinian lands.
According to UN reports, the Israeli army have demolished more than 730 Palestinian structures since the start of this year leaving more than 1000 Palestinians without shelter.
Elsewhere, a Palestinian man was shoot and injured on Wednesday by Israeli troops near the northern borders with Gaza. Palestinian sources said that the Palestinian man in his 30 was shoot near the Erez crossing and that he was moved to a nearby hospital after getting hit with a live round in his foot.
