In its weekly summary of Israeli attacks for the week of 21 - 27 August 2008, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) reports that 9 Palestinian civilians, including 5 children, and an Israeli human rights defender, were wounded by Israeli gunfire in the West Bank. The 9 civilians were all wounded when Israeli forces used force against peaceful demonstrations organized in protest of the construction of the Annexation Wall in Ne’lin village, west of Ramallah. Free Gaza boats

Ashraf Abu Rahma, the Palestinian resident who was shot by the soldiers after they bounded and blindfolded him, filed a petition along with Israeli Human Rights groups; B’Tselem, the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI), the Public Committee Against Torture in Israel, and Yesh Din, against the Judge Advocate General's decision to prosecute the battalion commander, Lt.
