Israeli military sources reported on Friday night that soldiers shot and injured one Palestinian civilian near the West Bank city of Jenin.The Israeli Army Radio said that soldiers fired at the Palestinian civilian and injured him as he was running towards the checkpoint.

According to the report, soldiers shouted at the unarmed civilian and fired warning shots before firing directly at him. The man was moved by Palestinian medics to a local hospital in Jenin.

Moreover, the army claimed that a short while after the incident, Palestinian fighters fired rounds of live ammunition at the checkpoint, no injuries were reported.

In a separate incident, a Molotov cocktail was hurled at a settler’s vehicle near Ramallah city, in the northern part of the West Bank; damage was reported, no injuries.
