On Tuesday morning the Israeli army attacked residents' houses in the southern West Bank city of Hebron and the nearby Sourif village, five civilians were abducted. Mohamed Al Huwar, 44, Hamied Hamidat, and Ma'mun Awad were abducted from their homes after soldiers attacked and searched scores of houses in the village of Sourif, north-west of Hebron. Residents of the village added that another unknown civilian was taken prisoner during the attack on the village. Local sources in the city also stated that Hamdi Al Muhtasep, 20, was abducted by Israeli troops who searched and ransacked his family home in downtown Hebron city.
