On Friday dawn, several Israeli military vehicles invaded Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, leading to protests, and destroyed a power transformer.
Media sources said the soldiers fired many live rounds, gas bombs, and concussion grenades, striking a main power transformer and causing it to burn.
They added that Palestinian firefighters rushed to the area, but the soldiers stopped them before they reached the burning transformer and prevented them from approaching until the army withdrew.
The soldiers also stormed and ransacked a store where electrical supplies are sold near the Interior Ministry Junction.
Furthermore, Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the soldiers invading several parts of Jenin and detonated an explosive charge near a military vehicle.
Furthermore, the army installed roadblocks around many villages and towns in the Jenin governorate, stopped and searched dozens of cars, and interrogated scores of Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
