Israeli soldiers injured, Friday, four Palestinians, and caused dozens to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation, during the weekly procession against illegal annexation wall and colonies, and the continued closure of the town’s main road.

Morad Eshteiwi, the coordinator of the Popular Committee in Kufur Qaddoum, said the Palestinians marched from the center of the town, chanting against the ongoing illegal Israeli occupation, its colonies, and escalating violations.

The protestors also chanted against the ongoing Israeli attempts to illegally annex large areas of the occupied West Bank.

He added that the protesters also marched against the treasonous agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates,  under American supervision, which would result in the full normalization between the two countries, without Israel’s withdrawal from occupied Palestine and the establishment on an independent Palestinian State.

Eshteiwy stated that the soldiers shot four Palestinians with rubber-coated steel bullets, while dozens suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

Several protesters burnt ties and hurled stones at the soldiers who invaded the town and attacked the weekly procession.

Palestinians have been holding weekly demonstrations in Kufur Qaddoum village, since 2003, to demand the Israeli authorities reopen the village’s main road, which was closed in 2002, for the benefit of illegal settlers in nearby Israeli colonies.

Under international law, namely the Fourth Geneva Convention, it is forbidden for the occupying state to transfer any of its own population onto the land which it occupies. In this case, Israel occupied the West Bank and Gaza Strip in 1967, since then hundreds of settlements and outposts have been built on occupied Palestinian territories.
