On Saturday evening, Israeli soldiers invaded Sebastia town, northwest of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and caused many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The Mayor of Sebastia, Mohammad Azem, said many army vehicles invaded the town and fired gas bombs and several live rounds at the Palestinians to force them to leave the streets.

He added that the attack led to protests before the soldiers fired gas bombs and concussion grenades, causing many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The soldiers also closed streets and prevented the Palestinians from crossing, especially at the town’s main entrance.

Earlier in August, the soldiers invaded Sebastia Palestinian town northwest of the northern West Bank city of Nablus and demolished a Palestinian home.

It is worth mentioning that the soldiersĀ frequently invadeĀ Sebastia to accompany groups of colonialist settlers into the archaeological area.

During these invasions, the soldiers block all Palestinian traffic, frequently storm homes,Ā abduct Palestinians,Ā attackĀ protesters, andĀ remove the Palestinian flagĀ from the archeological area.
