Israeli soldiers shot and seriously injured, on Thursday afternoon, a young Palestinian man, and caused many to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation, in Beit Ummar town, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, during the funeral procession of a child who was killed by the army, Wednesday.

Media sources said the soldiers attacked dozens of Palestinians during the funeral ceremony and procession of Mohammad Moayyad al-Allami, 11, who was killed when the soldiers fired live rounds at a car his father was driving in the Abu Toaq area, at the entrance of Beit Ummar.

They added that the soldiers fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at the Palestinians, seriously wounding a young man, 20 years of age, with live rounds to the head and chest, in addition to causing many to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The funeral procession started in front of the al-Ahli hospital, in Hebron, before heading towards his parent’s home in Beit Ummar, then to the local mosque, and marched towards the graveyard.
