Four Palestinian residents were reportedly injured Wednesday during family clashes in both the Gaza Strip cities of Gaza and Rafah, Palestinian medical sources said.
Witnesses said that three passersby were shot and wounded during a clash between two local clans in the Shija’iya neighborhood in Gaza city.
In the Rafah city, south of Gaza, one Palestinian resident was shot and wounded with several live bullets. He was evacuated to a local hospital in Rafah then to the Shifa hospital in Gaza city for his critical condition.
Family clashes have recently escalates in different parts of the Gaza Strip, clashes that some commentators attribute to high unemployment and poverty rates since last March.
