In a joint press release, the IMEMC received a copy of which, the Abu Ali Mustafa brigades of PLFP and the Shuhada Al-Aqsa brigades of Fatah, claimed responsibility for wounding an Israeli soldier to the east of central Gaza Strip.
The statememt reads “ a joint group of fighters from the Shuhada Al-Aqsa brigades and the Abu Ali Mustafa brigades, shot and wounded an Israeli soldier in an Israeli military watch tower to the east of Alburaij refugee camp in central Gaza Strip”.
Both factions confirmed that such an ‘operation’ is retaliation to the continued Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people across the occupied Palestinian territories.
Israeli army has recently escalated military attacks on Palestinian groups on Gaza-Israel border, killing at least two fighters and wounding few others including farmers, according to medics.
The Israeli attacks on Gaza are the first of their type since a ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Palestinians has been reached.
