Israeli authorities demolished three houses in the western Negev, southern Israel area on Monday, Palestinian media sources reported. The houses belong to at-Tantawi family in the Abda village, the source said.

Head of Abda village council Ibrahim Al-Wakeely condemned the demolitions saying that the villagers will remain on their land despite “Israeli continuous provocations”. He added that the current heat and the fact that families are preparing for the Ramadan fast will make life much harder.

Israel has intensified demolitions in the Negev during the past month. The village of al-Araqeeb was completely wiped out.

While the residents of the village bear Israeli passports, Israel does not recognize the existence of the village and about 40 other villages, home to some 90 thousand people, all of them are Arabs.
