Medical sources reported, Saturday, that two Palestinians died of severe gunshot injuries they suffered at the hands of Israeli soldiers in separate incidents, one in occupied Jerusalem, and one in Deir al-Balah, in Central Gaza.
The sources said that Ahmad Jamal Salah, 20 years of age, died at dawn Saturday, at the Hadassah Israeli Medical Center, of serious wounds he suffered Friday in the Shu’fat refugee camp, in occupied Jerusalem.
His body was transferred to his family on Saturday morning, before his funeral ceremony at a local mosque in the camp. Thousands participated in the funeral, and burial ceremonies. While they marched in the funeral procession, they chanted and shouted against the ongoing Israeli violations and crimes against the Palestinian people.
Salah’s was not the only funeral to be held on Saturday in Shu’fat refugee camp. After the funeral for 20-year old Ahmad Salah, hundreds of people gathered to mourn the death of another 20-year old youth, Wisam Faraj, who was shot dead by the Israeli army on Thursday.
Separately on Saturday, in the Gaza Strip, a young Palestinian man, identified as Jihad al-‘Obeid, 22, from Deir al-Balah, died of serious wounds he suffered on Friday.
After his injury, al-‘Obeid underwent surgery at the Gaza European Hospital, but died of his wounds on Saturday.
