Israeli soldiers invaded, on Sunday at dawn, several areas in the West Bank district of Bethlehem, kidnapped five Palestinians, shot and injured a young man in the Deheishe refugee camp.Dozens of soldiers surrounded the Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, before invading it, and clashed with local youths, who hurled stones and empty bottles on the invading army vehicles.
The soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs and concussion grenades.
Medical sources said a young man was shot in the shoulder, with a Toto hollow point bullet that detonates upon impact, and that another Palestinian was shot with a rubber-coated steel bullet in his arm; they were both moved to hospital suffering moderate wounds.
The soldiers also stormed and searched several homes in the refugee camp, and kidnapped three Palestinians, identified as Hamza Nasser Abu Ajamiyya, 15, Mohammad Khaled Sha’fout, 22, and Odai Adnan Shehada, 17.
The soldiers also invaded Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem, broke into homes and kidnapped Na’im Saber Thawabta, 21, while resident Mohammad Ibrahim Abu Sarhan, 32, was kidnapped from his home in the al-Obeydiyya town, east of the city.
