Al-Aqsa Martyrs brigades, the military wing of Fateh, reported on Tuesday that Musallam Suleiman al-Najjar, 22, who was killed in Khan Younis blast on Tuesday night, is one of its members.
At least five other residents were injured in the blast which took place at a home on Bani Suheila village, east of Khan Younis.
The body of al-Najjar was severely mutilated as a result of the explosion.
After the explosion, firefighters rushed to the scene in an attempt to contain the fire which spread to several homes in the area.
On the other hand, a Palestinian security source said that al-Najjar is one of the P.A security members, and that the explosion occurred while an Israeli drone was flying over the area.
In a separate incident one homemade shell landed and exploded in Nasser hospital in Khan Younis apparently after a resistance group attempted to fire it at an Israeli settlement, no injuries.

A Palestinian security source in Khan Younis reported that one resident was killed, another was injured as a result of an explosion which took place at a home on Bani Suheila village, east of Khan Younis.
Dr. Moawiya Hassanen, head of the Emergency Unit at the Ministry of Health, reported that Musallam Suleiman al-Najjar, 22, died of his wounds in Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.
Another resident was injured in the blast.
The Israeli army believes that the resident was preparing an explosive charge that went off too early.
