Israeli troops reportedly abducted, on Tuesday morning, four Palestinian residents in the internationally-recognized occupied East Jerusalem.

Local witnesses and media sources said that Israeli troops stormed Palestinian homes in the neighborhoods of Abu Dis and al-‘Isawiya in occupied Jerusalem.

Sources added that the invading forces abducted three Palestinians including a child from the Abu Dis neighborhood, identified as; Mohammad Bedair, Diya’ Obaid and Rouhi Aljayyar, 13.

Soldiers also reportedly summoned Mohammad Obaid from the al-‘Isawiya neighborhood, to an Israeli security facility in the city.

Concurrently, Israeli troops abducted Huassam Seder, a guard at the Al-Aqsa Mosque of Jerusalem, under the control the Palestinian Ministry of Endowment and Religious Affairs.

Israeli abduction campaigns of Palestinian civilians in the internationally-occupied East Jerusalem, have increased since the US recognized the whole city, including the eastern Palestinian part, as the capital of Israel, back in December 2017.

This recognition violates the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution 242 of 1967, which demanded Israel to withdraw from the Arab-Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, which Israel occupied in June of the same year.
