Israeli online daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Wednesday that hundreds of settler youth set up six new settlement outposts on several West Bank hills.
Hundreds of settler youth formed a new movement which is currently working in order to establish six new illegal settlement outposts, in a move which is intends to bar any evacuation of West Bank settlers, and strengthen the outposts there.
Tamar Kimchi, 18, a settler youth, and one o the founders of the movement, said that the “settlers are sick if talking, now is the time to act and install settlement outposts in the West Bank”, she said.
Kimchi added that the new outposts are planned to be established close to the settlements of Efrat, Elon Moreh, Kedumim, Kiryat Arba’ and Maon.
According to Kimchi, the new outposts are to be established near Efrat, Elon Moreh, Kedumim, Kiryat Arba, and Maon.
Settler Arik Yitzhaki, who was evacuated from the Gush Katif settlement block, in the Gaza Strip, and is considered one of the prominent anti-disengagement activists, said that the “settlers lost their fight over Gush Katif, but the battle for the land of Israel is still ahead”.
“The Hilltop youth 2005” group, arrived on Wednesday morning to hills adjacent to Efrat, Elon Moreh, Kedumim, Kiryat Arba, and Maon settlements and started constructing the new outposts.
Israeli soldiers, and policemen, present in the areas did not attempt to evacuate them.
Settler Tamar Kamhi, from Efrat settlement, said that this activity comes in response to the evacuation from the Gaza Strip, and four settlements in the West Bank. “They gave the land to the enemy”, Kamhi said, “They gave parts of the land of Israel to the enemy”, referring to the Palestinians.
The ages of the settlers who installed the outposts vary between 17 and 20 years old. They said that their movement intends to settle in every hill in the West Bank.
