The Palestinian parliament approved in its session on Tuesday the new Palestinian cabinet formed by the majority party Hamas led by Prime Minister Ismael Haniya.
The government, which is the tenth since the inauguration of the Palestinian Authority in 1996, was approved by 71 members, whereas 36 legislators voted against confidence.
The first request by the government was made by the Minister of Finance, Omar Abdul Raziq to hold an urgent session for the legislature to discuss the 2006 state budget.
