Palestinian police arrested several members of the al-Aqsa Brigades who they claim are responsible for killing an Israeli settler last week. The Israeli armed forces then raided the police station — apparently because they do not trust that the Palestinian police will hand over the prisoners to Israeli control.
According to local sources, dozens of soldiers, about 30 military jeeps, as well as tanks and bulldozers are surrounding the structure.
