An Israeli settler hit Wafa’ Zobaidi, 19, with his car while she attempted to cross the Howwara checkpoint near the West Bank city of Nablus late Wednesday night.
Zobaidi is originally from Salfit but has been living in Nablus while studying at the Al Najah National University. Zobaidi sustained critical injuries to her head, legs, and arms, and was moved to a nearby hospital in Nablus, medical sources reported .
Eyewitnesses said the settlers hit her, then rushed away to the nearby Howwara military post. Residents chased the settler with stones but he escaped unharmed, the eyewitnesses added.
