At least ten Israeli army reservists living in illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank have threatened to refuse service if called up to fight in Lebanon, Haaretz newspaper reported.
The threats came after Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Wednesday that the fighting in Lebanon will create "new momentum" for Israel to separate from Palestine by withdrawing from much of the West Bank.

"We will not go into Lebanon if the whole goal is to help expel us from our homes," the reservists told their commanders.
