Palestinian sources reported, on Monday evening, that a woman died on the Egyptian side of the Rafah Border Crossing.
The woman, Aghfra Mohammad Al Arja, died as a result of the conditions which stranded residents at the crossing face since the Israeli government decided to close it.
The Rafah Border Crossing was closed on June 25, and was only opened for several short periods, enabling some residents to cross back into the Gaza Strip.
At least eight residents have died at the Rafah Border Crossing since August, after they were stranded there for several weeks due to the Israeli closure and siege imposed on Gaza, following a confrontation in which Palestinian fighters captured an Israeli soldier during a raid targeting a military post near the borders.
