On Friday, Israeli soldiers abducted a government minister and a photojournalist during a nonviolent procession against the illegal annexation of Palestinian land in Deir Istiya town, west of Salfit, in the central West Bank.
The Palestinians marched on their land carrying Palestinian and chanting against the escalating Israeli violations before Israeli soldiers attacked them and fired many gas bombs and concussion grenades.
The soldiers also assaulted the head of the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission, government minister Moayyad Shaban, and Photojournalist Marwan al-Aghbar before abducting them.

The procession was held to counter the illegal takeover of private Palestinian lands in the Al-Qa’da area north of Salfit.
Paramilitary Israeli colonizers illegally occupied the lands about two months ago and set up barns and mobile homes after they prepared a dirt road and hooked their new outpost with electricity and running water.
