Early this morning Israeli forces invaded the northwestern Jenin town
of Silat Harifiya. Eyewitnesses report that at least 20 military
vehicles raided the sleeping town.
In Al Yamoun Village members of the armed resistance fought against a simultaneous invasion. The Fateh and Islamic Jihad resistance wings of Al Aqsa and Saraya Al Quds brigades fought against the attack.
Eyewitnesses report that 15 Israeli military vehicles stormed the northwestern Jenin town at dawn. Soldiers broke into several homes searching for the "wanted." Fighting erupted throughout Al Yamoun, the town waking to the sound of gun fire on this Ramadan Saturday.
During the invasions of the northern West Bank Jenin District towns Israeli forces arrested three Palestinians. All were blindfolded and bound before being taken to unknown locations. The Israeli military took the men on the pretext that they are affiliated with Islamic Jihad. Brothers Ahmed and Mahmoud Tahaineh were arrested after interrogation in their homes, as was Mohammad Al Sa'adi.
An Israeli military spokesperson later announced arresting another three Palestinians from Al Yamoun, all members of Fateh.
