Israeli forces abducted, on Wednesday, five Palestinians in various regions of the occupied West Bank, shot one young man with live rounds, and caused dozens to sustain inhalation injuries.
On Wednesday, Israeli forces abducted Palestinian citizen of Hizma town, Amjad Omar Kanaan, while he attempted to pass through the Jaba’ military roadblock northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
In the evening, the army closed the Jaba’ military roadblock in both directions, at the same time occupation forces closed the Hizma military roadblock, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, causing a traffic crisis.
Soldiers invaded the village of Nahalin, southwest of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, deployed an infantry squad, and occupied a Palestinian-owned home, turning it into an observation point.
West of the city, soldiers stormed the town of Husan, fired tear gas canisters and concussion grenades, causing several citizens to sustain inhalation injuries.
Meanwhile the army invaded the town of Al-Khader, southwest of Bethlehem, fired tear gas and concussion grenades towards local citizens, causing many of them to suffer the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.
In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded and ransacked the homes of Murad Muhammad Rabie Al-Hajouj and Ibrahim Osama Al-Khadour, before abducting them from the town of Bani Na’im, east of Hebron.
It was added that the army stole gold jewelry, from the home and confiscated a privately-owned vehicle, while three more vehicles were seized from another family, and several other homes were invaded.
In the city of Hebron, the army broke into and vandalized many homes and abducted Abdul Rahman and Tariq Dweik.
Occupation forces stationed at the main entrance to the town of Idhna, opened fire with tear gas canisters at Palestinian citizens and their vehicles, causing many to sustain inhalation injuries.
Just before midnight on Wednesday, soldiers stormed the town of Ad-Dhahiriya, leading to protests, which soldiers responded to by firing live rounds and tear gas canisters at citizens.
Soldiers shot a young man with live ammunition in his lower extremities; he was transported to hospital for treatment, while dozens suffered the toxic effects of tear gas exposure.
It was added that the army broke into and ransacked many homes in the town and confiscated five vehicles.
According to the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), “the total number of arrests after the seventh of last October rose to more than 6,255 cases, and this total includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.”
