Israeli forces shot and killed, on Saturday, a Palestinian child and injured another, near the Al-Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.

Media sources said that a Palestinian child succumbed to a serious live gunshot wound, inflicted on him by Israeli soldiers when he was near the Apartheid wall.

Sources identified the slain child as Mohammad Khaled Zaid, 13, adding that the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) performed CPR on the child and transported him to hospital in Ramallah.

Soldiers opened fire with live rounds towards two 13-year-old children while they were in the vicinity of the separation wall near the camp.

Soldiers shot both children, Zaid sustained a serious injury, while the other child sustained an injury from bullet fragments.

Sources added that the critically injured, Zaid was denied medical attention for approximately one hour after his injury, before the army reported the injury to ambulance crews.

Doctors at the Ramallah Hospital pronounced the child dead shortly after his arrival to hospital.



In the predawn hours of Saturday, Israeli soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian child, in the town of Kafr Ni’ma, west of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.

Israeli forces have killed 419 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza strip, on October 7, 2023.

In the Gaza Strip, Israel has now killed at least 30,320 Palestinians, including at least 12,300 children and 8,327 women, and injured more than 71,533, including 8,663 children and 6,327 women, since October 7, 2023.
