On Tuesday, Israeli soldiers invaded Kafr Dan town, west of Jenin in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, demolished a Palestinian home, and injured two young men.

Media sources said the soldiers surrounded the home of political prisoners, Abdullah and his brother, Yahia Hamed Masad, after deploying sharpshooters on rooftops of surrounding homes and buildings.

They added that the soldiers demolished the inner walls of the 110 square meter home of Abdullah Yahia Masad, and filled the property with sand and debris.

The soldiers also bulldozed the land around the property and uprooted many olive and almond trees.

It is worth mentioning that the army wanted to demolish the entire three-story 330 square meters building, housing 13 family members, but after appeals, the decision was made to destroy the inner walls of the first floor and fill the property with sand and debris.

Israel claims that Abdullah aided a Palestinian, Osama Bani Fadel, who in August of last year, reportedly shot and killed two paramilitary Israeli colonizers in Huwwara town, south of Nablus in the northern part of the West Bank.

On December 19, 2023, the Israeli army wired and detonated the family home of Osama Bani Fadel, in Aqraba village, south of Nablus.

After the shooting, the army abducted Abdullah, an Engineering Student at the Najah University in Nablus, and his brother, Abdull-Aziz, who are both currently held at the Ofer Israeli prison.

Many Palestinians protested the invasion and the demolition, before the soldiers shot two young men with live fire.

In related news, the army demolished an agricultural room and three barns, owned by Saadat Shalash, in Shuqba village, northwest of the central West Bank city of Ramallah.

Israel’s illegal home demolition policy is internationally prohibited as it constitutes collective punishment; according to Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, “No protected person may be punished for an offense he or she has not personally committed. Collective penalties and, likewise, all measures of intimidation or terrorism are prohibited. Pillage is prohibited. Reprisals against protected persons and their property are prohibited.”
