On Wednesday, Day 222 of the ongoing Israeli genocide of the Palestinians in the destroyed Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said the Gaza-European Hospital in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the destroyed Gaza Strip, has run out of fuel for its generators and ran out of service.
The Health Ministry stated that the hospital, one of the few remaining hospitals in the Gaza Strip, cannot cope with the high numbers of casualties, as it does not have sufficient medical supplies or fuel to tun its power generators.
The Health Ministry added that the hospital ran out of fuel which was used to run its generators and provide electricity to the medical facility, and became unable to operate any of its machines, including life-saving respiratory machines, surgery wards, and emergency wards.
It stated that hundreds of patients and wounded Palestinians could die if sufficient and essential medical supplies, and fuel, are not delivered to the hospital.
In related news, at least five Palestinians were killed, and dozens injured in a renewed Israeli bombing of the Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza, especially in the Da’wa area, in the northeastern part of the refugee camp.
Also, three Palestinians were killed, and several others were injured when the Israeli army fired artillery shells at the Juhr Ed-Deek area, northeast of the Al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza.
Also, the Israeli army continued the bombing of various parts of the Gaza Strip, especially in the Salam and Jenina neighborhoods in Rafah, in Gaza’s southmost part, and the areas around Tal Az-Za’tar in Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza.
At least one Palestinian was killed, and several others were injured by Israeli fire, east of Rafah City.
Israel has now killed more than 35.173, including at least 15,103 children and 9,961 women, and injured more than 79.061, mostly civilians, in several parts of the Gaza Strip, since October 7, 2023.
