Israeli forces abducted, on Monday, a former prisoner in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, while illegal colonizers assaulted citizens and set fire to agricultural lands near the city.
On Monday morning, occupation forces invaded the northern West Bank city of Nablus and abducted a former prisoner who has spent 20 years in occupation prison.
Media sources said that Israeli soldiers stormed Nablus city, besieged a Palestinian-owned home, and abducted the former prisoner, Qasim Al-Aklik.
Meanwhile, the army stormed the town of Tal, southwest of Nablus, before dawn, broke into several citizens’ homes, and detained ten Palestinian young men.
Media sources said that Israeli soldiers stormed several citizens’ homes, amid the firing of live rounds, detained ten young men, and took them outside the town before releasing them.
Meanwhile, in the evening, the army stormed the town of Beit Furik, southeast of Nablus, and invaded at least two homes, sparking protests among local Palestinian youths.
Media sources said that soldiers stormed and searched two homes, and opened fire with live rounds, concussion grenades, and tear gas canisters; no injuries were reported.
In related news, illegal Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian citizens in the village of ‘Asira al-Qibliya, southwest of Nablus, injuring three.
Media sources said that on Monday evening, a group of illegal settlers hurled rocks at Palestinian citizens and assaulted them.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), three citizens sustained injuries as a result of the attack.
The PRCS added that settlers brutally assaulted a citizen, causing various injuries, while two were injured by rocks, one in the head, and one in the foot; two were treated at the scene, and one was transported to hospital.
Furthermore, illegal paramilitary colonizers set fire to agricultural lands and fired live rounds at Palestinian citizens, on Monday afternoon, in the village of Madama, south of the city.
According to Abdullah Ziadeh, the head of the Madama village council, settlers from the illegal “Yitzhar” colony, built on expropriated Palestinian lands, set fire to agricultural lands and fired live ammunition at citizens who attempted to extinguish the fire.
