On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers shot two Palestinians, one seriously, during the ongoing military offensive in Tubas and Tammoun, in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank, after the army had earlier assassinated five Palestinians.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said two young men were injured by live rounds fired by the soldiers who invaded the town of Tammun.
The PRCS added that one of the Palestinians was critically injured in the chest and was transferred to Najah Hospital in Nablus, in the northern West Bank, while the other young man was moderately injured by in the back and was transferred to the Turkish Governmental Hospital in Tubas.
The soldiers also stormed and ransacked many homes and occupied rooftops to use as firing posts and monitoring towers.
The town of Tammun has been witnessing continuous invasions and serious violations by the Israeli occupation forces since the early hours of this morning, coinciding with the offensive on the city of Tubas, where the occupation forces are still operating in most neighborhoods of the town and are invading and ransacking dozens of homes, causing serious damage.
Earlier Wednesday morning, the Israeli army assassinated five Palestinians in an airstrike near the Al-Tawhid Mosque in Tubas.
The five slain Palestinians have been officially identified as:
- Mohammad Sa’id Hussein Sawafta, 19.
- Majd Burhan Jamil Sawafta, 23.
- Qais Saeb Rateb Sawafta, 24.
- Yassin Ahmad Ali Sawafta, 22.
- Tolba Mahmoud Jamil Bisharat, 18.
In related news, the soldiers abducted two young man, Hadi Hasa Yousef Mara’ba, from his home in Fahma town, and Abdullah Mohammad Al-‘Arda, from Arraba town, south of Jenin, after storming their homes and ransacking them.
On Tuesday, Israeli forces killed two Palestinian citizens, including a woman, and injured at least eight others in Tulkarem, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank
Medical sources at the Tulkarem Governmental Hospital identified one of the slain citizens as Ahmad Jamal Ahmad Majdouba, 25, Heba Shahada Mosleh Halawa, 21.
On Friday, September 6, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian child on Friday afternoon after illegal colonizers invaded the village of Qaryout, southeast of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.
Media sources said that occupation forces shot the girl, Bana Amjad Bakr, 13, in the chest with live ammunition during a settler invasion and attack on the village.
On September 6, Israeli soldiers killed Turkish American human rights activist, Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, 26, n Beita town, southeast of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.
Israel has now killed 699 Palestinians, including 159 children, 10 women, 1 journalist, 2 medics and 14 detainees, from the West Bank, since October 7, 2023.
In the devastated, besieged and starved Gaza Strip, Israel has now killed at least 41.020 Palestinians, including more than 16.673 children and 11.269 women, and injured more than 94.925, mostly children and women, in addition to the thousands (about 10.000) of missing Palestinians, largely buried under the rubble of bombarded homes, and buildings, and in destroyed alleys, across the Gaza Strip, since October 7. 2023.
